Title of the course: Introductory Course in Polish Language and Culture

Course Description: The introductory course in Polish language and culture aims to equip students with basic notions of Italian language that can be used in simple, everyday communication contexts and familiarize them with aspects of Polish culture. The learning objectives and teaching methodology of the course are aligned in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the 36-hour program, students will be able to

  • present themselves in Polish
  • give personal details such as where they live, people they know, or their daily activities
  • perform simple tasks such as filling up an application form, ask basic information (directions, timings etc.)
  • acquaint themselves with aspects of Polish culture (places, history, food etc.)


Evaluation: The evaluation will be based on an end-semester exam which will comprise Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing exercises on Polish language (80 points)

Presentation on Polish culture (20 points)
